PROJECT AUTOPIA

Execution

Autopian Guilds

The revolution process involves a series of specific actions and strategies which are discussed in the specific sections.
Several of these actions/strategies, however, might be either too complex and/or expensive for a single individual to undertake on their own; for this reason, Project Autopia advocates the establishemnt of a system of grassroots associations called "Autopian Guilds" where individuals can pool their resources and knowledge in order to achieve results that cannot be achieved individually.

The activity of an Autopian Guild can be summed up as follows:
1) Project planning
The participants settle on a specific goal to be achieved (example: the development of a 100% self-replicable 3D printer).
2) Resource gathering
The participants share a part of their resources into a common "fund" (example: the money required to buy all the necessary research equipment).
3) Research and development
The participants work together at the practical implementation of the settled goal.
4) Product distribution
Once the goal is achieved, each participant gets back a part of the fruits of everyone's work.

Just as individuals may join into Autopian Guilds, in the same way Autopian Guilds can choose to join into greater associations (or "Super-guilds") in order to pool resources/knowledge into an even higher level of magnitude for the purpose of achieving even more ambitious goals; some of these Super-guilds might in turn join into even greater ones and so on; this kind of fractal-like organization reflects the very structure of the autopian society as described in the specific section, with Autopian Guilds mimicking the structure of the Selfeds, possibly even serving as a template for their future establishment.
